So what does it take to be successful in your network marketing business?
Is it all about who you know? Is it understanding how the compensation plan works? Is it attending every meeting? Reading all the right books on success?
I believe success in network marketing, or any business for that matter, comes down to one thing – how many people are you talking to? I am referring both to the offline and online world. The importance of having a phone conversation, whether that is by cell phone, landline, skype, facetime, video chat, etc. is of great value.
With technology all around us, the sound of a human voice has been lost. When you hear a human voice, trust can be built and the awareness that someone really does care is felt.
The math is really simple, the more people you talk to, the more leads you will be able to generate. The more leads you have, the more potential you have for those leads to become customers.
While creating a relationship with someone may seem to take longer, you will build a sustainable business and how much better will that be than if you sign up people like crazy at the beginning but because there is no relationship with anyone, you lose people and have to continually start again and again.
Yes there are skills we need to learn to talk correctly to people about our business opportunity and the more you talk with people and the more you observe from other successful leaders, the better you will get at it. So let’s go back to our question at the beginning of this blog, what does it take to become successful at network marketing or any business?
Yes, we need to understand our company, yes, we need to work on our mindset, yes we need to be reading and learning from those successful in the same arena as us AND we need to TALK TO PEOPLE! Be a hustler as Ray Higdon says and not just someone who is hoping things will work out for themselves.
